The purpose of this project is to create an Email client with a difference.
For one thing, Stamp is (or rather will be) written in entirely in Common Lisp, which we believe will make it uniquely hackable.
Furthermore, it will use CLIM and the ESA library. We hope to take advantage of CLIM presentation types as much as possible so as to facilitate the integration between Stamp and other CLIM applications such as the Listener, and Drei/Climacs.
Instead of using traditional mailboxes, we are planning a system of tags. Each message will have a certain number of tags (which are just keyword-value pairs), and a current selection is defined by a Lisp predicate that selects messages based on their sets of tags.
